An implausible and yet sublimely compelling romantic drama, from James Hilton’s novel, stars Ronald Colman as "Smithy," an amnesiac British officer soldier in World War I who leaves the hospital and begins a new life with music hall dancer Paula Ridgeway (Greer Garson). The two are soon married and Smithy becomes a writer, but a twist of fate returns him to his prior life, with no memory of Paula. Susan Peters, Edmund Gwenn co-star. 126 min. Standard; Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital mono, French Dolby Digital mono; Subtitles: English, Spanish, French; documentaries; theatrical trailers; bonus shorts "Don't Talk" (1942), "Marines in the Making" (1942); radio adaptation.
