On an August evening in 1969 five people at a home in Los Angeles--including pregnant actress Sharon Tate--were savagely murdered. The next night a well-to-do supermarket owner and his wife faced a similar fate. Relief would come to a city in fear when the killers' trail led to the cult of hippie guru Charles Manson and his devoted followers. In this acclaimed miniseries based on prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi’s best-seller, Steve Railsback is mesmerizing as Manson, with able support from George DiCenzo, Nancy Wolfe, and Marilyn Burns. 184 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono; Subtitles: English, Spanish, French.
