Stanford put up 40 points on Virginia Tech, getting it's first BCS bowl win in fine fashion, 40-12. Cardinal QB Andrew Luck's four-touchdown night punctuated the best season by a Stanford quarterback, including those of NFL Hall of Famer John Elway and 1970 Heisman winner Jim Plunkett. The Hokies' offense had trouble scoring, Tyrod Taylor threw for 222 yards but was held to 22 yards rushing, and Tech twice came away empty after driving inside the Stanford 35. Luck, the Heisman Trophy runner-up and Orange Bowl most valuable player, went 18 for 23, threw for 287 yards and four touchdowns to lead Stanford (No. 4 BCS, No. 5 AP) past Virginia Tech (No. 13 BCS, No. 12 AP). The Official 2011 Discover Orange Bowl DVD includes the commercial-free game broadcast as well as special bonus features. It is a great addition to any fan's collection.
