A Double Life
(1947)
Classic psychological film noir drama follows talented but unstable actor Anthony John (Best Actor Oscar-winner Ronald Colman), whose propensity for losing himself in his characters finds him living the role of Shakespeare's murderously jealous Othello--on and off the stage. George Cukor directed from a script by Garson Kanin and Ruth Gordon, with Signe Hasso, Shelley Winters, Ray Collins, Edmond O’Brien. 104 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital stereo.
