Additional Formats Available
Airplane! (1980)
One of the most outrageous comedies ever, the Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker team's spoof of "Airport"-style disaster films took the plot of a jeopardized transcontinental flight from the 1957 thriller "Zero Hour" and crammed it with more gags than can be counted. Robert Hays, Julie Hagerty, Leslie Nielsen, Robert Stack, Lloyd Bridges, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Stephen Stucker as Johnny star. 87 min. C/Rtg: PG
Airplane II: The Sequel (1982)
Sight gag-laden sequel to the hit disaster movie spoof finds ex-pilot Ted Striker (Robert Hays) and stewardess Elaine Dickinson (Julie Hagerty) having to man the controls once more when the first-ever lunar shuttle passenger flight gets re-routed towards the sun. Peter Graves and Lloyd Bridges return, with additional straight-faced support from William Shatner, Chuck Connors, Rip Torn, Stephen Stucker, Raymond Burr, and Sonny Bono; written and directed by Ken Finkleman ("Grease 2"). 84 min. C/Rtg: PG
