Duvall plays John J., a hitman sent to Buenos Aires to carry out the assassination of a prominent general who finds himself with time on his hands while waiting for his target to appear. John is drawn to the beautiful Manuela (Luciana Pedraza, Wild Horses), a dancer who introduces him to the art of the tango, a sensual distraction that could prove to be his downfall.
