Combining rare archival footage and new interviews, this documentary chronicles the fierce rivalries between the members of the early 20th-century ballet company, who split off into two separate troupes after the death of revolutionary founder Sergei Diaghilev. Popular in London in the years preceding World War II, the dueling Ballets Russes profoundly influenced the future of balletic dance, a legacy which began in Paris, when legendary figures including Nijinsky, Balanchine, Stravinsky, and others united in thrilling collaborations. 118 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital stereo Surround; Subtitles: English; bonus footage; photo gallery; theatrical trailer.
