Set in an Austrian refugee camp in the days following World War II, this offbeat blend of drama and dark humor focuses on the friendly rivalry that develops between the by-the-book British officer (David Niven) sent to close the facility down and the multi-lingual Gypsy (Topol) he recruits to act as his interpreter. Anna Karina, John Hurt, Anthony Quayle co-star; directed by J. Lee Thompson ("The Guns of Navarone"). 103 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
