Johnny Sheffield, the maturing "Boy" of the "Tarzan" films, continued adventuring through the veldt in this popular series of jungle actioners from Monogram. A wildlife photographer (Onslow Stevens) and his teenage daughter find more than they expected on safari when they encounter "Bomba, The Jungle Boy" (1949). Bomba races to keep the workers who are building an agricultural station from becoming chow for a predatory cat in "Bomba on Panther Island" (1949). In "The Lost Volcano" (1950), Bomba swings to the rescue when shady hunters kidnap a young boy who can guide them to a lost city located in the middle of an active volcano. The Jungle Boy aids a deposed princess in recovering her throne from its usurper in "Bomba and the Hidden City" (1950). Bomba squares off against "The Lion Hunters" (1951) who are indiscriminately poaching the population. Bomba teaches a pair of treacherous ivory hunters to be careful what they wish for in "Elephant Stampede" (1951). 7 1/4 hrs. on two discs. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
