The Constant Gardener
(2005)
A conservative British diplomat (Ralph Fiennes) plunges into the riddles of a dark Third World conspiracy after his activist wife (Best Supporting Actress Oscar-winner Rachel Weisz) is murdered--apparently by forces trying to protect pharmaceutical companies testing experimental drugs on the poverty-stricken African populace. This blistering, provocative thriller, based on the John Le Carré novel, co-stars Danny Huston, Gerard McSorley, and Pete Postlethwaite. 129 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks: English DTS HD 5.1 Master Audio, French DTS 5.1; Subtitles: English (SDH); deleted scenes; extended scenes; featurettes.
