This special collection of three short films celebrates artistry and influence. First, Graham herself narrates "A Dancer's World" (1957), which offers insightful glimpses of her class and teaching style. Next, Graham's ballet "Appalachian Spring" (1959) promotes the legacy of the American pioneer and includes a stunning Aaron Copland score. Finally, "Night Journey" (1961) provides Graham's balletic interpretation of the Oedipus story. 93 min. total on two discs.
