Aspiring young dancer Patty Marlow (Lana Turner) is chosen to star in a movie musical alongside well-known hoofer Freddy Tobin (Lee Bowman), whose wife--and usual dancing partner--is pregnant. But Patty is actually a ringer set up to win a phony contest that’s touring colleges in search of a new partner for Freddy. Can she keep up the charade, even with a handsome campus reporter (Richard Carlson) nosing around? Artie Shaw, Ann Rutherford also star. 84 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono; theatrical trailer.
