Shot over the course of their actual pregnancy with leads doubling as 2-man crew, Paula and Charlie humorously document their impending parenthood during a time of extreme political division in an all-too-near alternate timeline. Their heads remain in the sand about the greater world around them until civil war upends their privileged life. Now they must navigate the loss of a loved one, the destruction of their home, and the ruins of the health care system at their, and their nation's most vulnerable moment. This docufiction has veered dangerously closer and closer to becoming a documentary, making it an eerily prescient cautionary tale we could use now more than ever. It highlights what civil war actually looks like to even the most vulnerable passively swept along, and reminds us that it's not yet too late to avoid this fate.
