One of the most popular shows in British TV history, this long-running, shoestring-budgeted sci-fi saga followed the exploits of "the Doctor," a maverick scientist and adventurer who traversed space and time in the TARDIS, a high-tech craft disguised (well, stuck, actually) as a London police box. The latest scheme by the sinister Black Guardian to gain revenge on the Doctor (Peter Davison) sends the Time Lord to Earth for an encounter with allies old (the unflappable Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart) and new (the mysterious Turlough), in "Mawdryn Undead." Then, the Doctor and company find themselves trapped on board a starship loaded with plague victims and bound for the space station "Terminus."
