Based on the play by Harry Brown, this character-driven World War II drama focuses on a squad of American G.I.s holed up in a bombed-out house in battle-ravaged Italy. The film depicts the camaraderie that develops between the men, as well as the tensions that arise when one of their number is trapped behind enemy lines and they're given orders to move on without him. Lee Marvin, Bonar Colleano, Richard Kiley, Arthur Franz star; directed by Edward Dmytryk. 80 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
