A masterful, allegorical work using cutout stop-motion animation, this Czech/French coproduction based on a 1957 sci-fi novel, follows the plight of the Oms--descendants of the survivors of Earth--who have been brought to the far-off planet of Ygam by giant, blue-skinned humanoids known as Draags. After the intelligent young Om Terr escapes to the wild, he launches a revolt against the Draags and tries to rocket off to the planet's moon. Voiced by Jean Valmont, Jennifer Drake, and Jean Topart. 72 min.
