A masterful, allegorical work using cutout stop-motion animation, this Czech/French coproduction based on a 1957 sci-fi novel, follows the plight of the Oms─descendants of the survivors of Earth─who have been brought to the far-off planet of Ygam by giant, blue-skinned humanoids known as Draags. After the intelligent young Om Terr escapes to the wild, he launches a revolt against the Draags and tries to rocket off to the planet’s moon.
