Based on a 1980 British teleplay, director Adrian Lyne’s hit thriller scared the pants back on adulterers around the world. Michael Douglas stars as Dan Gallagher, a married attorney who has a weekend tryst with editor Alex Forrest (Glenn Close). The affair soon becomes an obsession to the unbalanced Alex, who launches a campaign of harassment on Dan's family and eventually threatens their lives. Anne Archer co-stars as Dan’s wife; with Ellen Hamilton Latzen, Stuart Pankin, Ellen Foley. 119 min.
