Based on the British play "Bonaventure," this involving mystery from director Douglas Sirk stars Claudette Colbert as Sister Mary Bonaventure, a nun who befriends Valerie Carns (Ann Blyth), a convicted murderess whose trip to death row has been delayed by a raging flood.
