The Savage (1952)
As a boy, Jim Aherne (Charlton Heston) was the sole survivor of a Crow wagon train attack--and, found by the Sioux, was raised to manhood by their chief. With gold found in the Black Hills, he's sent to discover if the government intends to recognize the tribe's treaty, and ingratiates himself at a cavalry fort posing as a local trapper. However, when the triangular tension between Sioux, Crow, and soldiers claims the life of his adoptive sister, can he stop further bloodshed? Susan Morrow, Peter Hansen co-star. 95 min. C/Rtg: NR
Pony Express (1953)
Rousing western adventure about the founding of the Pony Express stars Charlton Heston as Buffalo Bill Cody and Forrest Tucker as Wild Bill Hickok, who battle the weather, California secessionists, and marauding Sioux Indians to get the mail-delivery service off and running. Rhonda Fleming, Michael Moore, and Jan Sterling also star. 101 min. C/Rtg: NR
Secret Of The Incas (1954)

Pilfering a plane to Machu Picchu, the prize may finally be within his grasp--if his treacherous colleague (Thomas Mitchell) doesn't get there first. Effective location-shot adventure said to have helped inspire "Raiders of the Lost Ark" co-stars Robert Young, Nicole Maurey, Glenda Farrell, Yma Sumac. 98 min. C/Rtg: NR
