Brilliant chemist and recovering alcoholic Carroll Wayles (Francis Ford, who wrote and directed) developed a game-changing explosive--and ambitious colleague Ala Kasarib (Peter Gerald), who coveted the secret, plied Wayles with liquor in order to get it. Plagued with visions of global anarchy stemming from his creation's misuse, the sobered inventor faces a final confrontation with his betrayer. Ford's first independently produced feature co-stars Mae Gaston, Duke Worne. 50 min. Standard; Soundtrack: music score; bonus shorts "When the Tables Turned" (1911), "The Post Telegrapher" (1912), "Unmasked " (1917); featurette; more. Silent with music score.
