Viggo Mortensen is superb in this enthralling drama about John Halder, a German literature professor whose writings in favor of the use of euthanasia garnered attention from the Nazi Party in the 1930s. Halder's career and social standing are on the rise after an honorary appointment to the SS, but he finds his morality put to the test when he learns of the atrocities the Third Reich has planned. Jason Isaacs, Mark Strong, Jodie Whittaker also star. 96 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles: English (SDH); interviews.
