Hallmark Hall of Fame 3-Movie Collection: The Lost Valentine / The Magic of Ordinary Days / The Valley of Light
The Magic Of Ordinary Days (2005)
During World War II, having been left pregnant by a soldier on leave, Denver graduate student Livvy Dunne (Keri Russell) found herself pressured by her minister father to marry Ray Singleton (Skeet Ulrich), a willing young farmer she’d never even met. Between the challenges of their seeming incompatibility and the war-era trials of maintaining the family spread, the unlikely couple forge a loving bond in this favorite "Hallmark Hall of Fame" entry. Mare Winningham, Tania Gunadi also star. 120 min. C/Rtg: TV-PG
The Valley Of Light (2007)
Returned from his WWII service to find his parents dead and their farm foreclosed, Noah Locke (Chris Klein) grabbed what he had left--his fishing gear--and started wandering the South. Coming upon a picturesque lakeside village, he makes a fast bond with a mute boy (Zach Mills) and his widowed mother (Gretchen Mol)...and may have regained the sense of family he’d lost. Beautifully mounted take on the Terry Kay novel co-stars Robert Prosky, Jay O. Sanders, Stephen Tobolowsky, Geoff Pierson. 97 min. C/Rtg: PG
The Lost Valentine (2011)
Every Valentine’s Day for over six decades, Caroline Thomas (Betty White) returns to L.A.’s Union Station to honor the last time she saw her Navy pilot husband, Neil, before he was declared missing in action during World War II. As TV reporter Susan Allison (Jennifer Love Hewitt) becomes determined to find out what happened to Neil, she also starts to fall for Caroline’s grandson (Sean Faris). Based on the novel by James Michael Pratt, this "Hallmark Hall of Fame" drama co-stars Billy Magnussen, Meghann Fahy. 87 min. C/Rtg: TV-PG
