Hanna-Barbera Specials Collection: Five Classic TV Specials
This assortment of H-B offerings created for "ABC Afterschool Special" and "The ABC Saturday Superstar Movie" begins with "The Last of the Curlews" (1972), the moving tale of a brink-of-extinction bird searching for a mate. The further adventures of Dickens' young pickpockets are followed in "Oliver and the Artful Dodger" (1972). The Merry Men of Sherwood get a funny-animal makeover in "The Adventures of Robin Hoodnik" (1972). Dumas' tale of d'Artagnan's quest to join the Royal Guard is adapted in "The Three Musketeers" (1973). Lastly, José Ferrer offers a voice-acted reprisal of his Oscar-winning title role as "Cyrano" (1974). 4 1/4 hrs. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
