Galia Lia Williams is a successful Afro Latina attorney in Los Angeles who after getting dumped days before Christmas realizes her life is lacking meaningful relationships. After avoiding going home for 5 years since the loss of her mother and her best friend, Lia decides to give up her hard-earned, lavish lifestyle and go back home so that she won't have to be completely alone on Christmas. With Hopes that the magic in the small Michigan town of her humble beginnings helps to heal her trauma, along with her uniquely-hilarious Midwestern Aunties that she thought she had left behind, her high school crush and orphan girl Southerly that wants her to be her new mom.
