NTSC/Region 0. Taiwan's top television host and actor Charles Chen (a.k.a. Blackie) stars in the musical drama I Wish as a down-and-out pub singer who is suddenly reunited with his long lost son. Famous TV and MV director Hsu Guo Jhih's feature film debut tells the story of Lee Bing, whose wife (played by Cheryl Yang, star of idol drama My Queen) left him ten years ago because of his affair. He has since become a drunk and incurred huge debts, but his decadent way of life is changed when a boy named Qi Miao (child actor Wang Zheng Wei) comes to him with proof that he is Lee's son. A series of events leads to Lee escaping to the mountains with his son, where he is introduced to a group of country children, and through the power of music he finds the hope of redemption.
