The luminous Ida Lupino stars in these four installments of the "Four Star Playhouse" anthology series. "Face of Danger" (1955) finds a woman relating the story of her long-ago affair with an Old West outlaw as she nears her 100th birthday; in "The Listener" (1956), a woman murders her husband, making the mistake of letting her paralyzed father-in-law hear of her plans; Lupino stars and wrote the script for "The Stand-In" (1956), about a perverse rivalry between actresses; in "Dark Meeting" (1956), she plays a business owner wooed by a new employee with a disturbing past. 100 min. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English. Plays All Regions.
