When their friend loses his life in a job site tragedy, construction workers Buzz (Bing Crosby) and Axel (El Brendel) shepherd his orphaned daughter Patricia (Gloria Jean) to family in New York. Unfortunately, Axel winds up squandering Patricia’s small inheritance on a Swedish restaurant...and Buzz concludes their only chance is to try and make a go of it.
