The life of Jesus (Jeffrey Hunter), from the Nativity to the Resurrection, is sensitively told in Nicholas Ray's film of the Christian story. Key events including the Sermon on the Mount, the Last Supper, and the Crucifixion reveal the powerful sweep of the religious icon's ministry─with the rich baritone narration of (an uncredited) Orson Welles lending added heft to the tale. All-star cast includes Siobhan McKenna as Mary, Robert Ryan as John the Baptist, and Rip Torn as Judas. 171 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks: English DTS HD 5.1 Master Audio, French Dolby Digital mono; Subtitles: English (SDH), French, Spanish; featurette; newsreel footage; theatrical trailer.
