Kingdom of War: Part 1
(2007)
One of the most successful films in Thai history tells the story of 16th-century Siam's King Naresuan, who, as a boy, was held captive by the King of Burma. Naresuan eventually grew up to become a great warrior and free his people from Burmese rule. The first installment in director Chatrichalerm Yukol's trilogy focuses on Naresuan's early years as a young prince and his tutelage under a Buddhist monk.
