In 1985, the wife of computer entrepreneur David Brown (Clancy Brown) was gunned down, and the victim's 14-year-old stepdaughter, Cinnamon (Moira Kelly), confessed to the crime. Brown subsequently collected a million in insurance and married his teenage sister-in-law (Sheryl Lee).
