After the rigors of combat at Guadalcanal, Marine officers Steve Lockhart (Pat O’Brien) and Dan Craig (Robert Ryan) were grateful for their well-earned R&R in Australia...and Craig was doubly pleased for his whirlwind courtship with Aussie flight officer Ellen Foster (Ruth Hussey). Deeming the relationship an impetuous mistake, Lockhart arranges Craig’s transfer to a stateside training camp...a move his brother-in-arms might never forgive. Battle drama co-stars Frank McHugh, Barton MacLane, Martha Vickers. 90 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
