Detective fiction-focused English professor Amy Winslow (Jill Wagner) reliably had the jump on big-town transplant cop Travis Burke (Kristoffer Polaha) concerning crimes plaguing their Pacific Northwest college town in this Hallmark whodunit franchise. With a student gone missing after her campus reporter boyfriend's death, Amy collides with investigating detective Burke in "Mystery 101" (2019). Amy's bid at mounting her stage play finds the leading lady threatened, then dying under suspicious circumstances, in "Playing Dead" (2019). After a college book fair guest is murdered, Burke slaps the cuffs on Amy's dad Graham, and she's got to prove his innocence, in "Words Can Kill" (2017). 4 1/4 hrs. total. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English.
