Notable for depicting a self-sufficient single mother, this pioneering 1975-84 sitcom starred Bonnie Franklin as Ann Romano, a divorced woman trying to raise two teenage daughters (Mackenzie Phillips, Valerie Bertinelli) in Indianapolis while pursuing a career.
