Originally created by author Jean Bruce, secret agent Hubert Bonisseur de la Bath (code name: OSS 117) is on hand for all manner of daring missions in these thrilling espionage tales. First, Kerwin Mathews stars as the suave spy when "OSS 117 Is Unleashed" (1963) to track down a missing fellow agent. Irina Demick co-stars. Then, Matthews returns in "OSS 117: Panic in Bangkok" (1964), which finds de la Bath tasked with stopping a scientist (Robert Hossein) from spreading a deadly plague. With Pier Angeli. Next, "OSS 117: Mission for a Killer" (1965) stars Frederick Stafford as the titular hero, who goes up against assassins under the influence of a drug that turns them into suicide attackers. Mylène Demongeot also stars. OSS 117 (Stafford) must find who destroyed an American military base, in "OSS 117: Mission to Tokyo" (1966). With Marina Vlady. And, de la Bath (John Gavin) undergoes plastic surgery that gives him the face of a wanted killer so he can infiltrate a global assassination ring, in "OSS 117: Double Agent" (1968).
