Set in 1977 France, scripter/director François Ozon's breezy mix of romantic comedy and feminist parable stars Catherine Deneuve as the unhappy "potiche" (trophy wife) of umbrella factory manager Fabrice Luchini. When the disgruntled workers go on strike and hold Luchini captive, Deneuve steps in to run the business and─with help from union leader/ex-flame Gérard Depardieu─proves to be an effective businesswoman. 103 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: French; Subtitles: English. In French with English subtitles.
