Here are four cool Poverty Row movies on two discs, all from PRC Pictures: LAW OF THE TIMBER (1941) Marjorie Reynolds, Monte Blue, J. Farrell MacDonald. The irresistibly beautiful Reynolds falls heir to her dad's outdoor business. Unfortunately there are a bunch of greedy gangsters after it and they will stop at nothing to get it, and that includes murder! THEY RAID BY NIGHT (1942) Lyle Talbot, June Duprez, Victor Varconi, Charley Rogers. Brit Commandos send Talbot to Norway in preparation for a daring raid to rescue an Allied Forces general. Talbot and his pals overpower Nazi soldiers, take their uniforms, and enter the prison to free the general. They flee to meet up with other Commandos, but a traitor informs on them! From 16mm. TOO MANY WOMEN (1942) Neil Hamilton, June Lang, Joyce Compton, Barbara Read. After lying about being a millionaire, Hamilton is told by his grandmother's doctor NOT to fess up and tell the truth because it might literally put the old lady in her grave. Before he knows it, women are coming out of the woodwork after him and his dough! TOMORROW WE LIVE (1942) Ricardo Cortez, Jean Parker, Emmett Lynn, William Marshall, directed by Edgar G. Ulmer. Cortez is great doing what he does best, playing a slimy racketeer. Parker plays a college dropout who falls into his clutches. Ricardo and Jean have some nice scenes together, although she was probably a little too old for this type of role. From 16mm
