Someone is killing the employees of a Chicago radio station in 1939, and writer Roger Henderson (Brian Benben) and his estranged wife/secretary Penny (Mary Stuart Masterson) decide to investigate. Their suspects run the gamut of the station's wacky workforce, from the sound effects man (Christopher Lloyd) to the station owner (Ned Beatty) to a sultry singer (Anita Morris).
