Sagebrush Trail - Big John Wayne, almost before he was shaving, is sent to prison for a murder he didn't commit. Naturally, our hero breaks out of the big house to clear his name. In a nice twist, he becomes friends - unknowingly - with the killer who dies in a climatic shoot-out. Good film for Wayne fans. Star Packer - The "Shadow" and his band of outlaws have a group of ranchers cowed until John Wayne rides into town, becomes the Sheriff and turns the tables on the bad guys. He captures two of the gang and learns of a fake wall safe where they get their orders. He concocts a plan to trap the Shadow and rescues a damsel in distress. A good early western that will be appreciated by Wayne fans. '
