In Pakistan, there are an estimated hundred cases annually of assault with acid. Victims─mostly women suffering at the hands of their husbands─have little or no access to reconstructive surgery, and reported assailants suffer minimal repercussions. This Academy Award-winning documentary illuminates the issues by following two women in their bid to bring their attackers to justice, as well as a British plastic surgeon who returned to his native land in order to aid them and others. 40 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital stereo.
