This remake of the ’50s AIP musical features Renée Zellweger as Susan, a young teen who decides to open her own rock ’n’ roll club along with a friend to showcase her new band. She encounters stiff opposition, however, when a group of uptight parents who believe that the music is a bad influence on their children try to shut her down.
