In 2383, a cluster of teenage inmates seeking escape from a Delta Quadrant penal colony stumbles upon the abandoned Federation starship USS Protostar. With tutelage from a holographic likeness of Capt. Kathryn Janeway (voiced by Kate Mulgrew), the fugitives must learn to function as a crew if they're to return home.
