Historical swashbuckler set during the War of 1812 stars Charlton Heston as Gen. Andrew Jackson, who enlists the aid of French privateer Jean Lafitte (Yul Brynner) in stopping the British navy. In exchange for a legal pardon from the government, Lafitte participates in the Battle of New Orleans to block British access to the Mississippi River. For this remake of his 1938 adventure saga, an ailing Cecil B.
