While working at a Missouri state mental institution, teenager Tom Butterfield (Fredric Lehne) was appalled that the authorities had nowhere else to place an unwanted 8-year-old boy (Joey Turley). His outrage led to a quest to be declared the state's youngest-ever foster parent, and a life spent establishing youth homes. Touching, fact-inspired TV movie co-stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Matt Clark, Noble Willingham, Barbara Barrie. 92 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
