Burt Reynolds directs and stars in this dark comedy about Wendell "Sonny" Lawson, a real estate agent who's been given six months to live. After trying─and miserably failing─to kill himself, he winds up in a mental hospital where he befriends fellow patient Marlon (Dom DeLuise). Sonny recruits his new pal to help him end things once and for all, but Marlon's ineptitude makes for some hilariously botched suicide attempts.
