This revealing BBC documentary chronicles the story of perhaps the greatest question mark in cinema history: the ill-fated 1937 production of author Robert Graves’ "I, Claudius," which was aborted after a month of shooting. The potential masterpiece--which was to star Charles Laughton and Merle Oberon, and featured Josef von Sternberg directing and Alexander Korda producing--was reportedly halted after Laughton’s difficulty "finding his character" and a traffic collision involving Oberon.
