Mysterious lady Thelma Jordon (Barbara Stanwyck) makes an after-hours visit to district attorney Cleve Marshall (Wendell Corey) to complain of break-ins at her wealthy aunt’s estate...and soon pulls the very married prosecutor into a torrid affair.
