Unusual drama stars Maureen O’Hara as Addie Culver, a Victorian lady of means, who falls for her impoverished art teacher, Henry Lambert (Dana Andrews), takes up with him in the slums, and helplessly watches him fall victim to drink. Addie then finds herself subjected to blackmail by a harridan neighbor (Sybil Thorndike), and only a kindly puppeteer (Andrews, again!) can help her escape. Wilfrid Hyde-White, Fay Compton also star. AKA: "Britannia Mews," "The Affairs of Adelaide." 91 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
