After the loss of his parents in the ‘40s, young Collin Fenwick (Edward Furlong) was sent to a small Alabama town and placed in the care of his maiden cousins--the stern and overbearing Verena (Sissy Spacek), and the simple and good-natured Dolly (Piper Laurie). He’d gain a series of important lessons from his episodic existence with them, in this sweet-natured coming-of-age film drawn from Truman Capote's autobiographical opus. Mary Steenburgen, Nell Carter, Roddy McDowall, Jack Lemmon, and Walter Matthau also star. 107 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital stereo Surround; Subtitles: English, Spanish.
