The first appearance of snow in the Great Valley means fun to the young dinosaurs...until there's no more plants to eat. What's more, Spike may be leaving the valley to follow a herd of "spike-tails" like himself, in "The Land Before Time VIII: The Big Freeze" (2001). Then, with parts of the Great Valley are submerged by heavy rains, Littlefoot and company come to the aid of a new friend, aquatic prehistoric creature Mo, to help him return to his family, in "The Land Before Time IX: Journey to Big Water" (2002). And finally, when his grandparents are guided by a "sleep story" to leave the Great Valley and set out towards an unknown land, Littlefoot and the gang decide to follow them. What they find will amaze the diminutive dinos and force Littlefoot to choose between his friends and his family, in "The Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration" (2003).
